Historic hotelier ventures into intimate river cruising with an exclusive 29-suite vessel that reimagines Egypt’s legendary waterway for the ultra-luxury traveler.

The legendary Nile River is poised for a luxury revolution as Waldorf Astoria announces its first-ever cruise venture, scheduled to launch in late 2026. The intimate vessel, featuring just 29 suites across five decks, promises to elevate Egyptian river cruising to unprecedented heights of sophistication.

The Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience will offer discerning travelers either four or six-night journeys between Luxor and Aswan, with private docking facilities at both endpoints. The vessel’s design emphasises connection to the surrounding landscape, with floor-to-ceiling windows and private verandas in every suite, allowing guests to absorb the timeless beauty of the Nile Valley in complete privacy.

“Waldorf Astoria is in an incredible new era of luxury, creating unforgettable, immersive experiences in the most sought-after destinations,” says Dino Michael, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Hilton Luxury Brands. “This new destination experience offers guests a spectacular view of Egypt.”

Beyond the expected amenities of a state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, the ship will feature the brand’s signature Peacock Alley and a brasserie serving refined Egyptian, Mediterranean, and international cuisine. The crowning glory is the rooftop deck, offering an incomparable setting for sunset cocktails and stargazing.

The vessel will serve as a sophisticated base for exploring ancient wonders, including the Valley of the Kings and temples at Luxor, Esna, Kom Ombo, and Edfu, with expert-guided excursions included in each itinerary.
