Yào Bar at Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse, which brings a more polished, modern-Chinese sensibility to the rooftop scene. Spread across two levels with a more formal restaurant as well as open rooftop, it pairs skyline views with midnight dim sum and golden sweeping views over the Chao Phraya River. The atmosphere is less shouty than some of the city’s bigger-name rooftop venues, and all the better for it; this is a place for lingering, not just posing and instagram pics.
Dine on fine Cantonese and Shanghainese cuisine whilst looking at epic city vistas that include Bangkok’s old town area. Great service and well considered cocktails make for an excellent spot where you’re not just contending with the first time tourist throngs.
