Scottish charm and French style collab on a journey of holistic wellness.
Wellness tourism is gaining unprecedented momentum, the Royal Scotsman, a Belmond Train, has partnered with Dior to introduce an exclusive wellness retreat through the Scottish Highlands. Scheduled from June 20 to 23, 2025, this four-day, three-night journey blending luxury travel and holistic well-being.
As the train meanders through Scotland’s breathtaking landscapes, guests will engage in personalised wellness experiences and expert-led programs. Dior’s Pilates and mindful movement expert, Bryony Deery, will lead sessions rooted in the six principles of wellness Pilates, fostering balance and harmony. Complementing this, Dior’s nutritional expert, Rose Ferguson, has collaborated with the Royal Scotsman’s Head Chef, Mark Tamburrini, to craft menus that promote mindful eating and support individual health goals.
Onboard, there’s nutritionally balanced afternoon teas, evening entertainment, and sumptious treatments at a lush Dior Spa. The Observation Car provides a tranquil place to absorb the stunning Scottish landscapes.
But it’s the off board excursions that also really caught our eye: wild swimming, forest bathing in the ancient Rothiemurchus Forest, private hikes, yoga sessions, and boat rides to see local wildlife, designed to deepen guests’ connection with nature.
This collaboration between Belmond and Dior shows just how fast evolving the landscape of wellness travel is. Luxury and well-being are increasingly converging to offer indulgent yet healthy experiences. As travellers increasingly seek journeys that nurture both body and mind, such innovations are aiming to set a new standard.
